Our board of directors is volunteers who are elected to three-year terms. All members in good standing are eligible to become members of the board and are in fact encouraged to come to board meetings and take part.
Elections are held in May at our annual meeting and voting is open to one member from each member company. If you wish to take part and become a member of the board, you can contact any of the current directors.
Please refer to the AFAANJ by-laws for details as there are some additional requirements to be eligible to serve on the board of directors, such as the recommendation of 3 members in good standing or at the appointment of the president to fill an empty seat.
We are currently looking for people to serve on committees; there are openings on the training committee, the program committee, the membership committee, and the legislative committee. We can not grow without your support and participation.

Over 92,000 people are waiting for the gift of life
|
|

|
Each day, about 74 people receive organ transplants. However, 18 people die each day waiting for transplants that can’t take place because of the shortage of donated organs.
Please decide today to make your wishes known about organ and tissue donation.
- Your heart could beat for someone else.
- Your lungs could breathe for someone else.
- Your kidneys could free two people from dialysis.
- Your liver could save the life of a patient awaiting a transplant.
- Your corneas could give sight to two people.
- Your bones could help repair other people's damaged joints.
- Your skin could help heal burn victims.
